My name is Maryam Rassapour and I am a Visual Artist, and Art Teacher, Motion Designer, Graphic designer.
I received a B.F.A / M.F.A of Art in Communication Design from Azad University in Tehran, Iran.
My artwork is principally based on mixed media and my own unique techniques that I experiment with. The content of my artwork is influenced by Middle Eastern culture, feminist issues, everyday common life, and my own personal immigrant experiences. The goal of my artwork is to stimulate the viewer’s senses and invite them into an alternate landscape.
I am currently an artist-in-residence at the Workhouse Arts Center in Virginia (Studio #603) and a contributing artist member of Touchstone Gallery in Washington D.C.
I am always looking for creative projects or teaching opportunities to lead or support. If you are interested in working with me then please send me a message.
